paradis Lifts Export Director: there are always

many ways to reach the same goal

Building strong international partnerships relies on experience and trust. That’s why we want to introduce the person responsible for our expansion into export markets: our Head of Sales, Povilas Mizgaitis. While Povilas is a long-standing member of the Paradis Lifts team, we are excited to introduce him to our growing international community.

With extensive product knowledge and a strategic mindset, he ensures that every international partner receives not just a product, but a human-centric approach and an effective business solution.

We sat down with Povilas for a short Q&A. Here’s what he had to say:

– Could you tell how your career path in a sales leadership role began?

– Project management is deeply tied to sales. And that thin line was smoothed out at some point. Increasingly, sales-related jobs were incorporated into my day-to-day activities, until it eventually made sense to switch entirely. Local sales metrics in Lithuania supported that transition, and here I am, a little over seven years later.

– What was your first impression of the company and its people when you first joined?

– A company with values that align with mine – the company’s trust-based relationship allowed me to see it for what it is – a high-paced organisation with a family-owned outlook on business – quick decisions, a straight-to-the-point attitude, and an opportunity to aim high, which led us down the path we are on.

– How would you describe the role of an Export Sales Director in simple terms? What is your mission at the company?

– To make things that work in Lithuania available for the international market. That includes every step of the processes, arranged in such a way that things happen in the most effortless manner, while still maintaining records and high standards. And the upkeep of those processes, as well as the people involved.

– Working with international markets requires specific expertise. What fascinates you the most about this work?

– Understanding that there are always many ways to reach the same goal. The different views on similar questions. The fascinating challenge of finding the things that connect in a background of multilingual, regulatory and cultural division.

– What is the most important value or principle for you when working with international clients and partners?

– The primary goal is to get to know our clients – the faster and more profound the understanding, the greater the value for both parties involved. Finding a client with a current need always trumps the offers to many whose needs are only developing, or our product is, in fact, not what they need. Again, getting to know the client and their situation is key.

– What do you do after work? Do you have a hobby that helps you recharge and find inspiration?

– Where do I begin? An active life has given me the energy and understanding of myself and my surroundings.  Finding meaningful ways to spend my day for the benefit of my body, mind, and those around me is my hobby – including various sports such as running, cycling, padel, and hiking. Volunteering for a cause I see as valuable is also very fulfilling.
